Dubrovnik is a walled city. It must have been near impossible for attackers to take before airplanes existed, and even with planes the thick walls offer protection. We take the walking tour of the walls, which involves (again) lots of stair climbing. The views of the city and of the surroundings make it worthwhile.

Cafes have a contraption that slices and presses oranges into fresh juice. Here Elaine takes a break from climbing up and down the steps of the walls.

This could very well be the street where we rented rooms.
