Raggedy Ann's Ragtime [1978/2013]

Raggedy Ann’s Ragtime

Under the title “Allegro for 11 winds” this was a very early composition of mine, for the double wind quintet I was playing flute in, plus 3rd clarinet for our conductor. Several decades later I rearranged it for massive recorder orchestra. Additionally, a piano rendition is available. It’s a fun piece full of youthful enthousiasm, and occasionally stealing from other composers I admired.

This piece is freely available on IMSLP. If you like it, why no buy me a coffee?
