Fanny Hensel: Pastorella
Fanny Hensel (born: Mendelsohn) was Felix’ more talented sister. She wrote mostly piano works and songs, before marriage compelled her to stop composing.
This totally charming piano miniature is arranged here for eight recorders SnSAATTBC, to have tonal variety and to do justice to the range of the piano. (The fact that there is a point where only the sopranino play — on its highest note — and the contra bass — on its lowest — is my little joke.)
